Just finished updating my portfolio site and resume. And just so happened to get tipped off to a possible graphic design job in the area. I’m really pumped and I hope to hear something back.

I updated the my portfolio with a gif made out of these little cardboard guys. head over there to check it out, or you could just enjoy the one I posted above, it’s pretty much the same thing.
I had two job leads lined up at the beginning of this week. as of now, none. I’m going to check up with the one on Monday. a Wordpress based design for a local tattoo shop. I found a bunch of Graphic Design positions online in the Philadelphia area. I applied to as many as I found I qualified for. I haven’t heard back about any this week. Maybe Monday some emails will come in, even a denial email would be nice. I’ve even started applying to jobs on Behance, including NY, CA, and Seattle. A shot in the dark I know. But I’m looking for any chance I can get to leave Lebanon.

been updating, emailing, and applying for jobs since 9. this is my new room by the way. at my mom’s house. I’ve been drinking my coffee black for the past 3 or so days. I’m getting used to it. I got a dialed soy candle yesterday that makes the room more fun to be in. What can I say, I like smells. Speaking of smells, it’s time to go take a shower.

Fired.
On Wednesday, I was fired from my job. I hated it. I wouldn’t wish that call center job upon my worst enemy. So in some respects I’m really glad to get out of there.
I’ve never been fired before. But if I were to quit I wouldn’t be eligible for unemployment. As soon as I left I pedaled up to the local bike shop I had been talking to for a while now about picking up extra hours. I let them know the deal and if they need me, I’ll be around. Right up the street was Excitement Video, they had a sign out saying they were hiring all shifts. I figured I’d go over there and throw my hat in the ring as well. Also, the day I got fired, I got a call for a graphic design position. I had an interview the very next day after being fired. No Way! I went to the interview, knocked out the two tests they had for me and now I’m waiting to hear back from them next week.
On top of that, I saw a buddy of mine posted openings at the design agency he works at. I shot him an email with my info & links. (possible move back to philly?)
the only real scary part is that the end of the month is coming up. If I don’t get any promising news before the month’s end I’ll be moving back to Lebanon. Lots of exciting shit going on. fingers crossed. any one need a graphic designer?
